Three applications of butyl rubber

1. Tires

The main application of butyl rubber is to manufacture tire inner liners and tire inner tubes. The tire industry uses halogenated butyl rubber as the inner liner for automobile, truck, utility vehicle and aircraft tires, and its use accounts for 84.6% of the total consumption of butyl rubber in my country.

2. Medicinal rubber stopper

Butylization of medical bottle stoppers is the second largest demand market for butyl rubber in China. At present, the butyl rubber used in my country's pharmaceutical rubber stoppers accounts for 10.5% of the total consumption. Several main medicinal rubber stoppers are introduced below.

3. Other

The remaining 4.9% of butyl rubber is mainly consumed in chewing gum bases, waterproof membranes, adhesives, rubber dams, etc. The use of this material is introduced below.
